Green Sand Beach

On the South end of the Big Island of Hawaii rest 1 of only 4 natural Green Sand beaches. Papakolea is a wonder to lay your eyes upon as the green sand reflects the sunlight and cast various hues of green across the landscape. The green hue comes from the olivine that erodes from the nearby volcanic cone.
